Winter, Wyman Inducted Into The Junior Achievement Boston Business Hall Of Fame

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani Honors Inductees at Celebratory Gala

May 23, 2006 - The Winter, Wyman Companies, a leading professional staffing and recruitment firm, was inducted into the Junior Achievement Boston Business Hall of Fame (BBHF) today. Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney had announced the induction of Winter, Wyman, and five other Boston area companies, in a press conference at the Westin Copley Hotel in Boston, MA, on March 13.

Companies were chosen for induction based on excellence in three key areas:

  • success in the free enterprise system
  • proven commitment to the community, especially youth education
  • insistence on growth and investment in Eastern Massachusetts

On Monday evening, May 22, at the Westin Copley Place, the BBHF inductees were feted at a gala featuring former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. “Honors can be great and humbling, especially when they are conferred by a group like Junior Achievement, which has done so much to help young people and society," said Winter, Wyman CEO, Bob Boudreau. "At Winter, Wyman, we are not only about running a successful business, but also about helping people build lives and livelihoods in many different arenas. This recognition from Junior Achievement is evidence, I hope, that we are successful in this pursuit."

Inducted along with Winter, Wyman into the BBHF Class of 2006 were Comcast, Deloitte & Touche, KPMG, Nixon Peabody, and Verizon.

"Corporations and potential job-seekers throughout the region hear Winter, Wyman and think of an established and highly qualified recruiting company," said William Annino, President of Junior Achievement. "As the induction indicates, the company is that and so much more. Their selection was based on their commitment to its employees, its clients, and the society at large. We are very, very fortunate to have Winter, Wyman, and our other inductees, in Eastern Massachusetts."
