A Little About Me
The one piece of advice I always give to employers or job seekers is:
Create an outstanding on-boarding program to ensure the success of new employees.
If you want your new hires to become productive quickly and engaged in your organization, it is important to have a well-planned and executed on-boarding program. Employees are more likely to be engaged if they understand how their role aligns with the company’s mission and goals and if they know the company is invested in their development. This will assist with their transition into the company and get the new employee excited about their role and how they can help the company succeed.
The biggest mistake I see employers or job seekers make is:
Some companies see on-boarding as a one-time event. However, it is critical to invest time and resources into your program to ensure your employees acquire the skills and development they need. This is an ongoing process that will continue to evolve. It requires continuous feedback and evaluation mechanisms incorporated in order to measure the effectiveness of the program and ensure learning takes place.
