Some things that hiring managers can do to turn off a job seeker could be lack of politeness throughout the interview process, so things like keeping people waiting for a long period of time or not offering breaks throughout the interview. Other things would be general communication things like not acknowledging receipt of resumes received or following up after interviews to get them feedback.
If a hiring manager does things like this it can send a message to the candidate making them think that perhaps what’s happening in their interview process is going to be what the culture is of the actual company itself. This happened to me in an interview what’s going to happen to me when I’m actually there.
